It's a Pleasure To Disappoint You.
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." – Steve Jobs
We're not used to hearing this kind of thing, and it's what I always try to discuss with my friends, partners, and family. I'm going to show you what I always remind myself and why thinking in this way is liberating. If you're a member of this Club, I think we can agree on the following below 👇👇👇

You have the right to expect, and I have the duty to disappoint you.
The Freedom of Being Yourself
🐼 What you expect of me can keep waiting because over here, I'm busy filling my own voids, living my life, and focusing on my mistakes and what I need to learn from them. If the price for you to love me is to stop being myself, to stop learning what I need to learn, to stop living what I want to live, then let me tell you it’s a pleasure to disappoint you.
Sounds harsh, right? But it’s not. It’s a declaration of freedom. It’s a commitment to oneself, a promise of authenticity. As Salvador Dalí said, "Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings." So why not be ambitious in our pursuit of authenticity?
🐼 Your expectations of me are yours; they neither belong to me nor are my responsibility to bear. What you want to see or judge about me has to do with you and your way of seeing the world. What disappoints you is not me, but seeing that I do not fit into your life, your beliefs, and your own voids.
It’s a fact: what others expect of us says more about them than it does about us. As Oscar Wilde said, "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." The truth is, the only expectation we must fulfill is to be true to ourselves.
